Any one have any ideas on what could be causing this ??? Could the plugs being gapped open to much cause this. (like .055" vs. the correct .050")

Thanks

Neal

I had the exact same problem on mine when I bought it. Took it back to the dealer where I got it and they replaced the plugs & wires. Solved the problem completely.

LT1 and LT4 motors use an optical distributor, aka "optispark."
A bad optispark can also cause those symptoms.

I've been having that same problem. I have all the service records on this car, and the optispark, wires, and plugs have NEVER been changed. The car now has 102K on it. So, I'm hoping the new opti, plugs, & wires will correct the problem...might even get a little better fuel economy.

I figure it's either fuel or fire. If the new stuff doesn't improve it any, I'm going with a new filter, pump, pressure regulator, and injectors. it WILL be better sooner or later.

Do the plugs and wires. My L98 had a miss I was going completely out of my mind trying to find! It turned out to be a bad plug wire. It's usually something simple.

Try that,and let us know.
