gear ratio?

anybody know gear ratio for 89 6sp w/ perf. axle package.

How do you know it has the "perf. axle package"? Did you find the RPO, "G92"? If you did, there will be another "G" RPO number that will designate the gear ratio.

thanks for quick response.might not have perf. axe code G92 found code G87? How else could i find out.

1989 had two 6 speed ratios 3.54 early and 3.33 late. Look under RPO code list for your ratio.

OH! I was just going by what you said. G87 designates "8.5" ring gear", which all manual transmission cars after 1984 have. One more "G" code other than "G92" should do it. Otherwise you can jack up the rear end and turn both rear wheels 1 revolution while someone counts the drive shaft revolutions.
