In first round of eliminations, I went 12.976@106.49mph.
You may wonder why the mph is so low, well since I was bracket racing, I dialed in a 13.13(my best time shot was 13.16). I was up against RichS in his Grand Sport. I cut a .588 light against his .662. He dialed a 12.60.
As we're flying down the track, I could still see him in the side mirror, so I let off figuring I had him covered. When his win light came on I was shocked until I heard the announcer say I broke out with a 12.97. So I lost the race, but set a new personal record, so I was happy with the result.
It would have been better if Rich had redlighted so I could get the win, but you can't have everything.
BTW Rich ran a 12.63@108.32, so he was right on.
Here's the rest of the slip:
R/T .588
60' 2.000(little bit of a spin)
330' 5.534
1/8 8.420
mph 83.75(usually it's around 85)
1000' 10.890
1/4 12.976
mph 106.49
Congrats, that is very cool.
There's no better way to breakout. I'll take a new best ET in the 12's over a bracket win any day,
unless it's for money-lol.
