C4 Interior Carpet Restoration....
There was a post quite some time ago about a ROLL of interior carpet that was 3/8" think and stretched and formed to make for a very nice and easy restoration job. I can't seem to find the post anywhere.
So here I am looking to see if anyone knows of a good source to order a ROLL of plain black carpet to restore the interior of my 85' 4+3. I want to do the job myself to save some money and from the posts that I've read it sounds like many of you guys have done so yourselves and have had great results.
I live in Michigan and I got to imagine rolls of interior carpet should be easy to come by. Thanks in advance for your guys help!

I think you could go with any synthetic fiber. Are you trying to avoid the precut and preformed aftermarket replacements? I think most here have gone that route.
I used to get some carpeting from a local commercial supplier for car stereo/speaker installs. You might want to check some different headings in your yellow pages.

I think Auto Custom Carpets sells "generic" carpet on rolls and it does cost (much) less. Though I haven't tried it, I would think preformed would be much easier to get a good fit and look good. But, if you have plenty of time, a roll might work out well.
