Not sure. IN looking around the net all they list is "tall". Is there a standard for "tall"? My initial fit I'm having a little trouble getting the originals on. Again, quick rough fit. So I'm thinking I may need "tall".

This is the same on every site I look at. Right now I'm having a little trouble getting the rockers under the stock covers. However, I don't think it will be a problem.

I had the originals powder coated, but as things start to come together I kinda like these, if I can get away with standard height:

But these are pricey. $300.....

ones usually listed as "tall" are noticeably bigger and I have seen a couple w/bigger dimensions for big gear. Ones like 1297978/979 (what I have and clears 1.6 pro mags )are about 1/4''-1/2'' taller than stock. Ones shown as tall are usually also perimeter bolt style. see linky:

Hmm..I like the look of the center bolt, since that's how it came from the factory.

The front of the cover goes all the way down, the rear is still up. I suspect once I adjust the nuts I should clear it. I am dry fitting with no gasket, so that will help some too.

I would like something "corvette" looking rather than "chevy".

I have 1.6 Pro Mags too. Did you get new covers because they didn't fit under the stock ones?

Others have the stock ones working, I just didn't want to do any cutting of the drip tabs on the stock ones. The ones you showed looked cool.

BTW, I took off the tabs on the stock ones. I cheated. No grinding, no cutting.

I put a large, flat head screwdriver on the top of the tab, and wacked it with a fiber hammer.

Snapped the tabs right off, one smack with the hammer.
