hi from oklahoma.im 54 and finally bought my first vett ive wanted one since i was 16.its a white 1985with automatic and less than 15000 miles on it. mike from vinita ok.
I'm Happy for You and welcome aboard! It's a great feeling to buy that first Vette, that you always wanted.
When You drive it, you realize IT IS NOT A CAR! It is, but everything else in the world that matters as a car, doesn't. It matters that it starts and runs, but who cares about cargo? Who cares about gas-mileage? Now you care about where you park! Now you care about everything about where your Vette(Not your CAR) is when you are not around. She is loved like your family, friends and most prized possession!
Enjoy Your new Love-Affair and Take Care, -John
Welcome from Muskogee!!
I've had mine almost a year now and the only regret I have is not doing it sooner!!
This is a great place to find solutions to any problems you run into, and has saved me time AND money.

Welcome to the family. My Vette is also an 85. I have wanted a Corvette since I was 6, but I was lucky enough to get one at 15.
Welcome to the Corvette family! I'm in Tulsa, I have a 92 coupe been three years now.....as for finally getting a corvette; better late than never I always say! Congratulations.
Way cool!
Now get yourself a service manual, get your tools together, and what ever you do........DON'T LET ANYONE ELSE WORK ON IT FOR YOU.
Life as you know it, just changed.
Your in for a whole lot of fun, and a little frustration now and then.

Especially the manual, more important than tools, by the way the frustration is part of the fun.
