Default TPI porting...

I will try to go this route with this car then...

Can someone point me towards a member or shop that can port my stock TPI to run with worked heads and a decent cam? Street driving to 5K

How much $$$ are we talking for this service?

Thanks

You can port the stock base quite a bit, plenum may help a tiny bit but I wouldnt hope for big gains from doing it.. Stock runners I wouldnt even bother with, go aftermarket.

check out the TPI stuff from FIRST, they have some really thick parts that can be ported out a LOT.

I'm not looking for big "gains" I'm just looking to not choke the motor too much. The whole thing is getting done anyhooo

Most here think that the TPI will be better than a carb on this car so I assume that they gained this knowledge from experience. I won't dismiss advice from those that have already made mistakes before so I will try to make the TPI work with a good head/cam combo on the stock shortblock.

Thanks for the covetteplenum.com link

Don't waste money on porting the stock TPI.

My testing showed that the aftermarket TPI is only good for about 15 HP.
