Cigarette Lighter Power Outlet doesn't work
I use this for my temporary CD player until I get a real one, and now the CD player isn't getting power.
The fuses are all good.
How can I check this outlet for power? Can I switch my multi-meter to DC and check for 12volts?
I've got a 4 hour drive tonight and I'd like to have some music.
Thanks. :)

Stick the red probe down the middle of the lighter housing and the black to ground...should read 12 v. However, the housing may be bad so you need to take the center shifter plate off and check the wire for 12 v.

I found the problem, after finding out the outlet had power, I set about taking the power adapter apart for the CD Player...what a pain, but I found a blown fuse in the middle(stupid place for it if you ask me), and now I just need to replace that fuse and I should be set.
