So I keep the TPI now I need to make sure that I buy headers with the AIR system piping, EGR fitting, and a fitting for the O2 sensor correct???
I assume that the computer needs the emmissions system intact to control the TPI system correctly......or am I out to lunch here.
The computer needs the O2 sensor but thats it. Some remove the AIR system and block the egr. There are pros and cons to both. What headers do you entend to purchase?

That is what I am trying to figure out. It seems that the off road headers w/o the fittings are significantly less $$$. Hence the question.
For a driver I would go with headers w/emissions. I want to lessen the chances of detonation so keep egr. Although I eliminated my smog pump (AIR) and caped the manifold ends I saved the parts in case the enviro weanies make my life more problematic. Further, if I sell the car I have the original parts. You can always block off the egr as well. In short it is easier to go back if I have to. Just my 2 cents.
I run Hooker headers and custom made 2.25" dual exhaust with no emmisions stuff. The hookers have an 02 bung in one of the primaries up close to the engine so it will be warm enough not to throw a code. Took out the air diverter valve and all plumbing. Turned the smog pump into a poor man's crankcase evac pump. Before inspection time I'm going to get classic plates as here in PA the classic tags require no emissions inspection. There is also an exemption for cars that travel less than 5K per year. If I were to be driving alot I would have kept the emission system working. From what you said in previous thread this sounds like a fun car not a daily driver so I'd scrap all of it.

Thanks
I would have expected that the smog fittings would have changed affected the O2 sensor but if that is not the case I may save the $$$ and leave it off
