Its getting toward the season that the SUV comes out and the vette goes inside for upgrades and hibernation. This winters project will be a switch from fuel injection to a carburated set up. I know this is a topic that has been debated over time and I am not interested in debating it again, I just want to make the switch.
So far I have purchesed an edelbrock intake, a distributer shaft and distributer.
What else will I need? Part numbers would be helpful as well. :yesnod:
On a more advanced level.... Has anyone converted to carb and still run a blower  ? Do I need a special carb?
Re: Need step by step for carb conversion on 86, (Red5)
well im not afraid to answer. you will need an intake, carb, distributor, fuel pressure regulator, and maybe a fuel pump. if you are not changing the hood make sure you use a lower profile intake, you will run out of room fast. i have a holley 600, but i am using the stock motor, so you decide depending on your cubes, cam, etc. you will need a vac advance distributor. you can get a regulator that will lower your stock pump down to a usable pressure for the carb, or you can put a different fuel pump on. i put another fuel pump on, but i still have to run a regulator thanks to holley making the poump pressure to high for my carb (over 10 !!). its basically a bolt on conversion, take the old stuff off and put the new stuff on. hope this helps, if you have any more questions just email me ill help as much as i can................good luck!!

If you wanna even attempt to keep-up with the jonse's, you had better just put more power in the motor and leave the blower on... Besides, I don't have any problems running a blower and a carb.:):):):):):):)
