ASR Active - how often ?
I just had the fluid in the rear changed, and now, practically every time from a stop, when I go into 1st, or Reverse, I get the ASR active. Is this normal, or is a sensor now whacked ?

Mine comes on if I hit something on the road when accelerating on a corner for instance. But never from just going from reverse or 1st with the auto unless the road is not clean of course.

Mine is a six speed, and I did not notice it until the oil in the differential was replced.

Mine is a 6 speed also....ASR doesn't come on until the rear breaks either through my fault or the roads.....

I guess it depends on how hard you pop the clutch. Mine never really comes on unless I am expecting it to do so. Usually I drive with it off.

I haven't had the car long, but long enough to only notice it started happening after the read had the oil changed. A sensor had to be disturbed.

I'll agree that something probably changed, but I'm not sure what it would be. I'm pretty sure the ASR uses the same wheel speed sensors as your ABS system, they shouldn't have been disturbed, strange indeed.

Is it possible the fluid change altered the Posi and your wheels are spinning more now, I have no idea but just a thought that came to my head?

It "hits" from a standing start. It seems like an uncommon problem ... lucky me :)
