I found a good deal on a clutch and aluminum fidanza flywheel for a 1990 targa my question is will the clutch and flywheel fit my 1989 targa? any input is appreciated!
My info says 89 to 96 are the same flywheel. If you use the Fidanza the tranny will be a lot noisier though. I think its worth it for the improved throttle response
I have the fidanza and its loud as all hell. Some people have them as well and have better luck, but mine is loud. the throttle responce is alot better as mentioned
It's the noise that is inherent in our ZF trannys. The reason GM used a dual mass flywheel is to dampen that noise. going to a single mass lets the noise be heard but doesn't hurt anything.

I have a friend that has one in his 96, he is going back to stock, too loud.
I've known TWO C4 owners that chose to go back to heavy as well,
so I never tried it myself. Stuck with my DM and spent $ on tuning.
Now my motor revs just FINE.
I used a stage 2 clutch. I dont know who its made from because my auto guy did it for me. (order and install)..Its not as lud though if u have gears. Since my 4.11's got put in, My flywheel calmed down. I think because my rpm's are higher
I was supposed to get an OEM flywheel from a guy on here and he dissapeared after He asked where i live and told him, he'd say he'd write back and let me know how much for shipping and then well go from there. but nothing.
