hey.. so my intake has a hole in it right under/before the throttle body (like if someone was trying to put it on using a screwdriver and punched a hole, which widened over time)...
so i need a new one.
anyone know the part number, or someplace i can get one? i didnt see it on gmpartsdirect or any on ebay.
i saw one on midamerica, but its just some tubing that narrows in diameter, and im not about to pay 70 bucks for that.
92, chevy, corvette, lt1 (idk if you really needed all of that..)
its just a hole in the intake ducting (the tube guy that connects the MAF to the TB.. actually. scratch that, no MAF. so the only problem is its letting unfiltered air in and obstructing flow.
I thought it was a hole in the aluminum casting of the intake manifold. I was getting ready to get my parts books out. For that, just slap a piece of duct tape on it.
Your local dealer or parts store might get you a new hose. You could repair the hole with any number of glues, (rtv, epoxy, etc.) then turn the tube over so the patched part is hidden. Just an idea.
