Default Hotcam with s/c?

I am contemplating putting a blower on my 27k mile LT4 which already has the Hotcam. Not ideal I know but will it be too chunky?

Although the Hotcam might not be the best choice for a supercharged engine. You shouldn't have a problem running it.

Not sure what you mean by "too chunky"?

I'm going throught a blower build myself.

I knew someone that had an hotcammed LT4 down in Dallas, it worked but it just wasn't optimal. Too much overlap, but it worked.

Just be careful how much boost you run, high compression and cast pistons are not what you really want in a blower motor.

I decided to bite the bullet and go with fully forged bottom end.

Chunky refers to the overlap. You know "kachunk-kachunk-kachunk" .
I kind of thought it would be iffy. The extra compression in the LT4 plus the cam. I don't want to bother messing with the bottom end on an engine with such low miles. I may look at getting the heads and intake ported instead of going for the power adder, or maybe it's time to make the move to a C6. Thks for the responses.

if you do a search on youtube for my lt4 vortech ysi vette, you can hear what it sounds like to some degree. I believe the cam in my car is a hot cam (the prior owner installed it so I can't confirm. I have lt4 heads on my car similar to yours.

Nuck, Check these guys out www.advancedinduction.com My Lt1 gained 90rwhp with headers and some supporting mods. All cost me about 5 Gs with labor. Took my car from a 13.8 to 12.2 best and 12.5 all day long in the 1/4 mile. The C6 is in my rear view mirror the entire way down the track. You can here the killer sound I get from the cam in my signature. Best money I spent on this car.
