rear quarter replacement
Hey guys, new to owning a vette but been fixing them for years just not body work, I do some body work occasionaly for myself or for friends but haven't done any on any vettes. My 84 vette has a problem with the right rear quarter panel being 'popped out' near the rear bumper area and I'm thinking I may have to replace it when I replace the rear bumper. I'm wondering how hard this is? I've done it on steel body cars. Are the rear quarters seperate or am I going to have to cut them apart near the fuel fill? Is it bolted on or glued? All and any help is appreciated.

They are glued on with an epoxy. Epoxy glues are available at most automotive paint stores. There are two "quarters" on a coupe, and several other parts glued together to make the rear clip. It's fairly easy to change the quarters once you see how they are put together.

Thanks for all the info, I tried to search here earlier and couldn't come up with anything, I may see about just repairing it, the bottom rear of the quarter is popped out and it has 3 6" cracks towards the rear so may not be bad to repair not sure yet, but never hurts to try! thanks
