Can you tell me if you have this---->
Sticking out of your radiator (Should be on the passenger side of the radiator , directly below the filler cap...Now what is this for and what did it hook up to( according to my parts catalog, Heres the description....This stock replacement low coolant level sensor is manufactured by GM or by one of its authorized suppliers for use as a factory replacement part. You will find the fit and function meets all GM specifications. Using stock replacement parts from Eckler's, such as this low coolant level sensor, is a sound investment in the restoration or repair of your Corvette. is this sensor supposed to be hooked up to something or does it act as a plug for the radiator, was it going to be hooked up in production and they passed on the extra idiot light in the dash...Does anyone have information on this little sensor ..I lost mine on a trip and had to replace it What was it hooked up to wheres the gauge that tells you your coolant is low

Reason: spelling of words
coolant level sensor
trips a light on your DIC,
the wire ( at least on mine ) is a single dk green wire, previous owner had bypassed the sensor by grounding the wire to the frame

As everyone has said, that is the low coolant sensor, which was introduced after your car was built. The 1984s don't have a low coolant light, and therefore, no low coolant sensor. It appears you have a replacement radiator, where one size fits all, 1984 - 1989.
