Default 96 roller rockers...

i have a 96 corvette with an lt1. i know on a lot of the f bodys you have to get different valve covers to run 1.6 rr. i was wondering if thats true on the corvettes to? or can i keep stock valve covers and put 1.6 rr on it? any help would be appreciated.

The original rocker covers on my 1992 LT-1 were modified to accept roller rockers. The mods looked like they were made with a Dremel. My aftermarket covers accept RRs without modification.

It is a simple modification, just grind or cut off the drip tabs inside the valve covers, don't break them off or you risk a hole in the cover. Use either a dremel with a small cutoff wheel and cut them off. The stock cover will then work just fine.
