Default Weatherproof connectors

Perhaps this is getting a bit **** but I was wondering if anyone else ever frets when breaking the plastic "finger" or clip that secures one of the connectors to the other at the various engine compartment wiring harness locations where these are used. I guess these get brittle over time and I have broken a couple (not the connection--just the plastic finger) but even without the plastic clip, these connections seem pretty secure. Do any of you bother replacing the plastic connectors when they break?

That has happened to a couple of the connectors on my 87, I have bought replacements but have not installed them yet.
So for none of them have caused me any problems, in my case the TPS and MAF connectors are the broken ones.

I have that on a couple on my '89. I put a zip tie around the fitting to secure it closed
