steering rack symptoms?
My 96 steering system is hurting. I think the rack or pump is on its ways out. What are some commom symptoms? I experiance hard steering, even when moving, and my car pulls to the right without braking. My front alignment is fine. Maybe worn front shocks?

steering woes
try airing up your tires since it's winter and the colder temps tend to reduce the tire pressure.
go for 32 psi front, and 30 psi rear

My inner tierod ends (internal to the rack) started squeaking badly.
Replaced the rack, and found the original grease all dried up and gone (metal to metal).
Actual steering was great, even with the squeaking.
This was on my Z-52 (fast steering) equipped 87.
