Default Cam Change

Will it hurt, or speed up the destruction of a very high milage (150K), yet strong motor that has 175-180PSI per cylinder with on smoke/oil burning?

Had a camaro once, and did a high mile cam change with new lifter springs and rockers, needed a new motor maybe less that 15K later. Wondering if I should keep going until I run out of bolt-ons or money, or change any of the internals?

Default Re: Cam Change (TexCorvette)

If it were me, I would do a rebuild, because with that new cam I would be tempted to test out the new power quite often and then with the much more frequent trips to 6000 rpms, somethings eventually gonna give.
