Elec. water pump changeover
Just wanted to know what you guy's did as far as rerouting your serp belt? Did you fab up a bracket with a pulley somewhere. If ya got any pics that would help. By the way my car is a 90 THANKS MUCH Pipe

well i have a 1991 L98 vette.
any way i brought a csr brand electric water pump for it.
ok well first of all removed air cond and gutted down a/c bracket .
so there is no pulley what so ever up the top on a/c bracket where there normall is one.
then added a 88 gm berreta ribbed idler pulley and ran belt around out side of idler pulley intead of over top of it and i have a pollution pump delete bracket in place on which i drilled new hole further up bracket for a billet pulley,i am running under drive pulley kit as well.
any way the nascar good year gator back serp belt has about 2" clearance obeve e/water pump motr and still the idler pulley works well with it.
so basicall you will have pollution pump delete pulley,alternator pulley,crank pulley and idler pulley and that is it,your done.
now the a/c bracket if you look carefully you can carefully trim/cut back where needed too and still work and be strong.
im very happy with the way it turned out.

if you do asearch on emo-vet in archives i also mentioned about what /how i m odded and ran pump.

Sorry man i'm tryin to picture it in my mind. I have a smog pump delete pulley then it will need to go under the bellows and over to the AC Condenser as I want to keep the AC. Man I wish I could see a pic of it. Maybe I need to go out in the Garage open the Hood throw down a few and take a serious look. THANKS Pipe
