Default Starter IAC & TPS Connected?

'90 vert
Since the installation of the Hooker headers and exhaust system last June I have had intermittent starter problems. Starter would not engage,(particullarly if I turned the key quickly) this occured 1 out of every 10 attempts to start the car, if I turned the key off and tried again the car would start.
Last weekend I installed a new IAC and TPS the starter has started the car without fail. I do not see how this is related, could this have anyting to do with the ECM?

Thank You....................................: cool:

Sounds like you moved the harness just enough to move the solenoid wire while tugging on the TPS or IAC wires during the swap....that's all.

Looks like you fixed that starting problem

I don't know if 3 or 4 days of no problems would make me feel comfortable that the issue is solved. It sounds like a VATS issue to me. If the issue returns, I would replace the "Starter Enable" Relay, the cost is only around $12 from NAPA and is a relatively easy swap. Just remove the Driver's Side Under Dash Kick panel, and there is a bank of relays against the firewall. Refer to your FSM for location.
