Default Winter Storage Question

Hi
I was wondering how you guys up north store your vettes for the winter. I have a heated garage at home. I figured I would start the engine once a week or once every two weeks and inflate the tires to the max. Some say to put the car on four bricks while others say to inflate the tires to the max. I used to have a 79 vette and for thw two winters it was in storage, that is exacly what I did. My 84 has a new ECM that has not been roded yet. Not that I think it makes a difference.
I would like youre opinions on what's best for storage. My vette is a 84 crossfire injection vette.
All opinions and tips are appreciated

Here's what i do...

Clean entire vehicle inside and out
Add 8 ounces of Sta-Bil and a can of Sea Foam (both available at NAPA)
drive approx 10 miles
Fill tank with fuel
put car on jack stands and remove all wheels
air all tires to 40 PSI
change oil and filter
change fuel filter
spray all locks, latches, hinges, pivot points, etc. with PB B'Laster
Put 2 tubs of Damp Rid inside car
Fill old socks with moth ***** and stick in engine compartment, around wheel wells, in tail pipes..anywhere rodents may enter
Disconnect battery and hook trickle charger up
Cover car, say tearful goodbyes, promise to visit, etc.

Hope this helps!!

Don't forget to set some mouse traps around the car for good measure!

I also use steel wool in the tailpipes for the mousies.

Dryer sheets work inside car too if you don't want the cancer causing Naptha moth *****.

If your only storing it for a few months you don't have to do much of anything.

I put some rat bait in one corner of the shop. About once a month I charge the battery, though I'd like to get a battery tender. That is about it.

If there is a warm day at least 35°F I may start the car, let it get hot, and move it forward a little to a different place on the tires. I only do that once a winter. I usually do not drive mine from dec to march which is not very long.

Good. Thanks for the replys. So I guess Ill do what I did with my 79 in the past: inflate the tires to the max pressure and start her up once every two weeks and let the engine idle a bit.

Do what I do, drive it. Every 3,4 weeks. It's only a car.

Easy to say! No offence but where are you from? Because up here, there's no way im driving my vette in the snow, ice and salt covered roads. On top of that people forget how to drive in winter lol
No offence but Ill start her up and move her back and forth every two weeks or so but no way Im driving her!
