I changed the injectors on my '91 myself and it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. I bought them from SLP online and the whole set was $99 (!!!) and theyre made by Bosch. Local places were asking that much for EACH injector. At first I thought it was the wrong type as they were physically different form the originals. SLP said these were compatible for both L98 and LS1 engines. Sounds crazy I know. They dont have the slots in them for the locking clip rings but they are held in nice and snug by the fuel rail and have never leaked. My freeway MPG went to 30+ MPG. I did a road trip earlier this year and got 35 MPG in 6th gear using cruise control and keeping my foot off the pedal. Around town mileage dropped from about 19 MPG to 16-17 MPG. The acceleration is much better/smoother although the Bosch injectors seem to be noisier than the originals.
DL9179: Changing injectors on a L98 engine is not a difficult job to do. It just requires some patience, small amount of mechanical skill and some basic tools. I have a Word document describing how to do this yourself. Send me a note to samlam@charter.net if you want a copy of this document.
The most difficult part of this project will be selecting what injectors to use when you remove the stock Multec injectors.
I bought the new style accells for my 89.
They are the bosh style, and i am very pleased with them, got them thru summit they had the best price. Put them in myself ,not a hard job.

Bob's right...I used his info and did my 91, never had changed injectors before....patience is important, mark everything you take off the car clearly so you know where it goes back. Take your time, clean and replace anything that you may want to now while you have it's apart. Take pictures before too which can help in a pinch. Good luck

What is SLP online? $99 for fuel injectors is a great price if they are good.
I have also used Bob's tutorial and it was pretty straight forward. Thanks again, Bob.
