My turning signal on my 1984 Corvette is acting funny. My green arrow in the car for a right turn will stay illuminated when the headlights are up, but goes away when they are down. My right blinker works normally with the headlights up or down, but will not shine at all when in the daytime running lights mode. I have throughly explored my options, and I've concluded that there must be some corrosion, disconnection, or wire destruction somewhere along the path for this daytime running light. I don't have a service manual which is making this harder. Does anyone know which of the 3 wires going into right blinker sockets belong to the daytime running lights? And perhaps a good place to look for an interference along the wire?
Side note. Changing one of the fog lights from under the hood is proving impossible because the socket cannot be pulled out and the metal cylinder is loose. Any advice?
Sounds like one of the pins on the connector behind the dash has finally sooted up enough that it isn't making a good ground anymore. Just a hunch. That'll make your turn signal indicator do funny things.
The fog lights aren't that hard but they are long so be careful pulling them out. Drivers fog............use left hand.............passengers fog......use right.
The fog light simply won't come out. The long metal cylinder just rattles and moves around and wont slide out. Thanks for the wiring diagram. Does anyone have a link, map, or picture to the fuse box as well? I have no manuals for this car yet. Thanks!
