Procharger p600b
Could you tell your experience about Procharger p600b and 89 Corvette?
At the moment i got the Procharger and big intercooler...
What do you think,What kind of FMU and injectors should i use when engine is original?
If you use the procharger FMU then the 22 lb injectors your running now will be fine.......how much boost are you planning? that could make a differance on injector size needed..........at 8 psi or less the fmu and 22 lb injectors will be fine.
I have Procharger Fmu,but i dont know the ratio?
Boost will be 4-8psi.
How much will the fuelpressure go up using 4-8psi?
Could the original injectors lock,if fuelpressure is over 60psi?
The first unit which does not have a needle valve on top (180° from the vacuum nipple) is a non-adjustable 1:1 FMU. This means that if your base fuel psi is 42 psi (vacuum line disconnected), then at 8 psi boost, your fuel psi would now be 50 psi.
The second FMU type is referred to as the "Super FMU", and is adjustable via the needle valve from 1-4:1. This means that in the same situation as before, the fuel psi at 8 psi can be adjusted from 50 psi to as high as 74 psi depending on the engine's needs.
Most Procharger kits that are sold with an FMU include the "Super FMU". Years ago, I set up a test bench and confirmed static fuel psi at each 1/4 turn increment on the super FMU and it was able to deliver over 85 psi without "locking" the injectors on FMS 30 and 42 lb/hr injectors.
I hope this helps.
