I'm putting a package together for my '94 LT1 auto and would appreciate opinions, suggestions as to what I'm now looking to add:
As I'm UK based and will be shipping my parts in, I want to get it right (as much as possible) 1st time.
The car already has fitted:
BBK 52mm TB
Grantelli Mass Air flow sensor
Borla cat back system
SLP Cold Air intake
M/T drag radals
I'm now looking to add the following:
NOS system
EM Long Tube headers
TCI 2,500 torque convertor
3:77 gears
Edelbrock short runner tunnel ram
GM Perf Parts LT4 Hot Cam Kit
I've heard off lots of quality issues with the TCI converter here on the forum; I would recommend you contact Pete K here on the forum and see what he can get you. I would also recommend a slightly higher stall--2600 to 2800 perhaps. Pete can help.
I agree on the hot cam and the gears, but the granatelli mass air flow isn't a good piece and might be pulling timing from your engine,go back to the g.m. maf. E.M long tubes are very good.I have a vigilante 3000 stall, its a great converter.I went from a 2600 to the 3000 and love it especialy with the hot cam.
Go to the search function at the top and key in Pete K. It will list threads where he has posted. A most recent one is about a cam for his 406. From there you can email him
