Default Help AC/ Heater control don't work

OK I have a 93 that I got after I got back from iraq the 2nd time and I have a few problems.The main problem is the ac control unit dosent work, I get a back light but no digits and no lights under the buttons. Its also burning rich and has a low idle. I just spent $200. to find out what I already know. PLEASE HELP!

hey well you should start with a whole tune up, plugs wires etc air cleaner. And for the heater control i would check the fuse and then it may be time to replace the control unit. Start with the easy things regarding the low idle rich a/f.

Once you pull it out of the dash, the control unit's front panel can removed and the contacts between it and the rest of the unit cleaned with the eraser head./ alcohol trick. Dirty contacts there are the second thing I would check. The first would be the aforementioned fuses.
