Swapping Pumpkins question
I have a question about swapping out a d36 pumpkin.....simple correct?
Just unbolt the 3 u-joints attached to the unit
remove the 10 bolts from the back of the unit
and reverse for install right?
Won't need move or mess with the wing or suspension correct?
I picked up an extra pumpkin here and my 2.59 pig should be a bit quicker on 3.54's huh?

I think it would be easier and quicker to just drop the complete center section, and swap the wing on the floor. Remember, you have that pesky C-beam.

Not a 9"
I think it is so close quarters that it just does not work. But I am interested to know if it can be done.

Drop the whole thing. Much easier, and it allows the gasket material to be installed easier and the fluid.
PS DONT USE MOBIL 1 synthetic. Twice mine leaked, and it was a apparent problem with a few others because of the Mobil 1Just use plain jane good quality gear oil too!

It would be nice if it was that simple. Rest assured, it is not.
The batwing and pumpkin should come down, and swap the pig on the bench.

I 100% agree, drop the entire unit, so much easier to work on.
And it is not that difficult at all.
