Default Annoying window problem.

I just changed my drivers side window motor in my 84 Corvette because the original motor was weak and tired. Additionally, with the new weather stripping, it wasn't going up all the way with the door closed. Well, I put the new motor in and new ribbon, and have since encountered a few new problems.
First of all, the window still won't go up all the way with the door closed. The weatherstripping just might be too strong. Any advice on how to fix this? Perhaps some silicon lube or altering the weatherstripping in some way? I just can't seem to remedy this problem.
Secondly, I put the glass back in and re bolted everything, which is basically in 3 places, and now when the window is down the glass is about a quarter to a half inch above the top of the outer window seal. When I move the window all the way up, it falls that same distance below the roofs weatherstripping. Before I took the door apart, the window fit just fine. Any ideas on what needs to be adjusted?
Side note, my powered drivers side mirror works, but is loose or something, because the mirror keeps sagging or tilting down which is very annoying. How do I get in there and fix this? Pull the mirror out somehow?
Thanks for any help!

Your doors are a little different from mine but I think the basics are the same. The mirrors bolt on from the inside and those bolts can be reached through the holes if you don't mind a few scrapes but it is easier if you take off the metal accessory panel.

I don't know why the window isn't traveling far enough.

Can you post a pic of the door's guts?

I do think you could get it all the way up when closed if you were to adjust the two felt pads out a bit. Those pads are the ones at the top of the inside of the door and they are about six inches from the front and back.
