Meziere Electric WP Question...
I replaced my WP with a Meziere HD Electric Pump. I made a major F-up. I forgot to power up the pump before I installed it to veryfy that it works. Soooo, now it's all nicely installed now.
Next, I filled the two containers with distilled/anti-freeze liquid mixture. Then, I ran the car and it slowly climed up to 182 at idle.
Can I assume the WP is working ok based upon the temp not going any higher? The fan relay kicked in the fan which at the same time should have energized the WP. Is it possible that since the car stabalizes at 182 then everything is working and I no longer need any fluids?
Would (maybe) fluid shoot out if I opened the vent port at the thermostat when the WP cuts on? I was thinking that this would be a possible way to ascertain that the pump is cutting on at the right time.
Any words on this would be appreciated....
Billy
Be very cautious of your water temperature for the first while to make sure the pump is on and staying on. I had a wiring issue with the relay by the person who installed it and my car overheated numerous times and it wasn't pretty.
Not to scare you though, my 388ci at 7-8000 rpm ran at a steady 190-200 degrees with the HD mezziere pump when i ran it hard on the highways.
