Transmission Help 700R4
my best advice is to buy replacement rebuild kits that also include "fix" parts, or parts that correct issues that they've found since the 700 came out- save you time and mess later on- also an inline external cooler will make her last longer- from what I hear, 350hp is its limit at the motor.... I shoot about 350ish into her now and I'm on my 3rd rebuild in the last year (worn pump casing and cheap clutches w/no valve body goodies- this time I'm doing it right
found good kits and packages here (at least ideas for parts- some I found elsewhere for cheaper)

I would also upgrade some of the valve body springs along with the bigger t/v valve (stronger shifts and less wear to the clutches)
With these having the lock-up feature, you really don't need a higher stall than stock, but thats up to how you wanna drive it- weekends only may mean you're not too worried about gas- a 200-2500 wouldn be terrible but not too necessary

I would change ALL the fluid and filter, and see how it goes.
