Power Steering Pump Cavitation???
My power steering pump has been dripping about a pint a week; I got a rebuilt pump today.
I flushed the fluid twice before disassembling; ran car about 5 minutes each time; used turkey blaster to suck fluid out the remote reservoir.
I noticed both times my fluid (new fluid!) was all white and bubbly; definately cavitating somewhere.
...But is this normal???...

Sounds like you have air in the lines.
Check for leaks

Did you bleed the system after replacing the pump?

No - haven't replaced it yet (got sidetracked installing new rotors). I just flushed the fluid.
But since you brought it up, how *do* you bleed the power steering pump???

Sorry, I had misread your post.
Bleeding the power steering is easy...remember it's a hydraulic system so no bubbles are allowed. You'll want a helper for this.
Put the front end on jackstands.
Open PS reservoir cap.
With the engine off, turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock at least 20 times...you don't need to actually hit full lock, just get close.
While you're doing this, watch the reservoir and maintain the fluid level, and make sure there are no more rising bubbles.
Start the engine, fill reservoir to full level, reinstall cap.
Run engine for a few minutes, go out for a test drive...verify everything is okay and there aren't any more bubbles in the fluid, etc.
Done!
