Default 1993 Passive alarm problem

Washed the car, put in the garage, the car alarm went off, went out three times to reset, 4th time I disabled it by depressing door switch on fob for 2 seconds...alarm stopped going off. Went into garage 1 hour later, noticed interior lights were on. I opened the driver door depressed the jamb switch several times it went off and stayed off...Anyone experinced a water soaked jamb switch which I assume was setting off the alarm?

i believe my 96 is the same so you may want to pull off one of your door panels and see is the anti-theft switch is corroded. these do get wet through
your door key lock. if you look up in the direction of your outside door handle
you'll see the switch attched with a c-clip. my 96 had similar problem with the
interior lights staying on all the time and my passive entry wouldn't work at
all. first i changed the door jam switches with no change, then with some
advice i received here i checked these out. if you find this is your problem
change them both, i didn't and i had to replace the other side the next week.
the last detail has these for $15.00 ea. good luck !!!
