Not to mention, search only goes back so far. I've searched on topics 2 years ago, and then recently and the old matches are missing now.

If it's not too much trouble to ask, then it shouldn't be too much trouble to let everybody know what worked.

Maybe the one's that did not follow up on their post just bought their
FSM and don't need our help anymore
I know that buying the FSM is shoved down everybody thats a new poster here, and i agree it's a good thing to have, but for a new poster it seems a little intimidating that the first three to four replies seem to come from a over confidant book salesman instead of any real answers to the posters problem. So it would be really helpful to not be a book salesman if you don't have any kind of insite on the problem the poster has. IT would be more of a "welcome to the forum" feeling if we could wait and add the FSM comment in a actual helpful reply instead of just seeming like the forum is full of a bunch of smart a**'s.

Do YOU have your FSM? I do and I still need help from people who have been there and I always show my appreciation and let everybody know what worked. The FSM IS an invaluable tool but it is not the answer to every situation. You do have a valid point however, with the exception of one guy, (and you know who you are) there are people here who spout off about getting the FSM mainly because they don't have a clue as to how to help the individual and use this as an excuse to belittle the poster. Not all of us are smart a**es, just most of us.
