Default code 48 maf system failure??

i just made a fresh run w/datamaster to send to bryan@pcm for less and the dtc code 48 kept beepin at me non stop! Im assuming the obvious here***my maf is shot? What do yall reccomend for replacement? Stock vs aftermarket?

I would stay stock, have seen too many problems with aftermarket MAFs.

Just make sure it's not the connector what is wrong intead of MAF... (been there, done that )

You can also try a residue free contact cleaner found in electrical shops (Radio shack and the likes). Sometimes they are just dirty.

Some GM cars have a fuse for the MAF as well. I have replaced many of blown fuses for MAF problems. I can't remember if it is LS1 or LTx though....

Make sure the connector inside the plug is not shoved back into the plug
