security system remote help

it has a light in the lower left dash that blinks "SECURITY" when you shut it off or open the door. I would like to know how to test it to see if it has keyless entry or did they all have it?

The "security" has nothing to do with the remote keyless option. Your alarm is still armed if you manually lock your doors when you get out.
To test if the alarm is working:
1. Roll down drivers side window
2. Open drivers door.
3. Press the door lock button to lock the door
4. Close the door.
5. Reach through open window and press door unlock button
6. Open door
Horn should start beeping! This is your alarm
To silence alarm, put key in door lock and unlock with the key.
To prevent alarm from going off, unlock the door in the following way:
1. With keyfob (which you say you don't have)
2. Put key in door and turn to unlock.

I just didnt want to spend the cash if I didnt have the keyless entry system.

You may not like the way the system was designed to work. They are not like a regular FOB where you push the button to lock and unlock the door.
They are "passive", meaning your locks will lock and/or unlock as you approach and/or leave the vehicle.
Some people just don't like the way they were designed to work, and think the system is broken.
You can find the FOB's on ebay from time to time too.
