YAY! I guess it was just needing new spark plugs! But now it's missing a little. (It surges at idle, and as the RPM's go up it stumbles, and makes a low booming sound) I need to go back and regap the plugs. Make sure all wires are tight.

AC Rapidfires are supposed to have a larger gap preset to 'em. someone posted a bunch of information here a long time ago when somoene was asking for them.. couldnt find it again.
I dunno, I think it has more to do with the rest of your ignition system than anything else. You need to at least be able to power a bigger gap. Mine are at .035 and cutback, so far so good.
I have been running the AC Delco Rapid fire plugs for 3 years now with a .035 gap. They run fine. They came pre-gapped at .045, but since I had trouble getting the originals out, I let my mechanic finish the job. If I finished the job myself, I probably would have retained the .045, but since he gapped them to .035 and installed them that way, I let it go. Never had any problems.
