Targa top conversion
Is it possible to convert a top from an 86 to fit a 95 and vice versa? I have a 95 and an 86 and want to swap the tops. I know they don't just interchange, but was wondering if the attach hardware was removable and could be swapped out.

Yes.
You need the correct brackets for the top of the windshield, the correct plastic molding running across the top of the windshield on the inside, and, the plastic covers for the brackets (optional). I might have a spare set of molding and brackets. I did the conversion for my 86 then decided to go back.

Ok, I was hoping the hardware on the tops could be changed and I could put the 95 top on the 86 and the 86 top on the 95. I don't really want to change anything on the cars. Oh well, back to the drawing board...............
