Torsional Vibration vs balancing

I don't know how they are mounting an under-drive pulley on an LT1 without a damper.
Also, there seems to be some confusion of torsional vibration as compared to balancing.
You can have a perfectly balanced engine that has extreme crankshaft torsional vibration.
And, you can have a crankshaft without any torsional vibration that is completely out of balance.
Torsional vibration and balance are two entirely different things.
And, a change in torque per cylinder impulse, even at the same rpm, can make the old damper inadequate when eliminating torsional vibration.
And, when you increase rpm, you can create fundamental harmonics that the original damper was not created to handle.
Too many people are under estimating the importance of the damper and when it needs to be changed.
