Shorting out gauges fuse
Hello forum, I spun a rod bearing and took out the engine, fixed it up and reinstalled & I removed the heater/fan assembly. Now I had the engine running fine and within 5mins the fuel pressure dropped to zero and guages had no power. They illuminate with headlights on, aND tach signal still works, everything else ihas become grounded. The fuel relay red wires are ground, my guages supply is ground.
So anyways this car is pretty much a track car and what wires can I remove and do away with. I got my own wiring harness DIY for the choke, tach signal, oil pressure and water temp going to autometer gauges. I also have a couple of wires running down to the speed sensor on the th400 tranny. I have no wipers, no heater, I have a fan switch and want to have a switch for the fuel pump aswell. So what other relays and wires can I eliminate without causing problems with the essential stuff like radio, hatch, lights, etc. Im running a Carb BTW. IF anyone has a detailed wiring diagram online thaty would be most helpfull., Thanks forum.
