Has anyone tried these tires on GS wheels. I'm thinking about using the HRTZ 315/35-17 (rear) and HRTZ II 275/40-17 (front). I've read the review from TireRack and they sound pretty decent. Any opinions?

Re: Sumitomo tires (leego)
I have a set of Sumitomo HTR 275's on the rear of my car and my friend has a full set of Sumitomo's on his 92 with Grand Sport rims (275 front, 315 rear).
Neither of us has any real complaints. To be honest, I bought my Sumitomos because the Tire Rack reviews sounded reasonable, they seemed to be biased towards dry grip (in my interpretation), they are reasonable priced, and they are one of three types of tyres I can get in the required sizes over here without having to order from the States and wait several weeks.
A few things, if you like to light up your tires, the Sumitomo's like to squeel - which isn't good for attracting too much attention.
In terms of grip they seem to grip well and when they go off, they usually slide first rather than just letting go all of a sudden.
Wear wise, I'm not the best person to ask :bb. I got about 15,000kms (max) (just over 9K miles)out of my last set of rear Sumitmo's in about 12 months of driving due to my right foot being a little heavy. The Dunlops on the front have lasted two years+ and over double that mileage and they are still on the car with a fair bit of tread still left.
My last set of tires was a set of Dunlop SP8000's (still have my front ones) and I think the Sumi's may be a little better overall IMO.
I had a set and I wasn't particularily pleased with them. I thought they wore fast as I believe they only have a 220 treadwear rating. I also didn't think too much of their rain performance either. Personally I like the Firehawks but for 206 bucks each I figured I could go with a cheaper set and replace them one time and get more mileage out of 2 sets. Khomos (spelling) are the last set I went with. They seem to be holding up to the beating I have applied to them and at 114 beans a piece seem like a good bargain.
