After 7 years almost to the day my 95's battery is dead. I'd like to just go out and buy one and put it in. The owners manual tells me nota about the battery. Does anything need to be reprogramed? What's the best way to wrestle that old battery out of the engine compartment? Any other recommendations? Thanks Tim
Just unplug the battery (a side terminal battery wrench works best here) take the side gill panel off, undo the battery mount, slide the battery out and to the nearest parts store for a new one......Installation is the reverse of removal" ...I always wanted to say that!
No harm to the computer and no re-programming! Make sure to take the time to align the gill panel back up so everything is flush and the door opens and closes freely. Good Luck!

Re: Battery (KORE YOME)
Remove the negative cable from the battery terminal first to avoid accidentaly shorting the wrench to ground. A spark can make the battery explode. I know, it happened to me once and acid flew everywhere. Not very good at all.
Second, you will need a torx bit to remove the bolts from the wheel well to the side panel. Then there is a bolt on the bottom of the side panel that you can slide a open end wrench between the side panel and rocker panel. Just loosen it and the panel will slide out.
You will have to reprogram the preset radio stations but that is all.
Some people get non-AC Delco batteries but I have had good luck with them. My local K-Mart has a good supply at reasonable prices.
Yeah Lou, a little wet...fences coming down all around me though. Can't check the mail anymore...A T&T decided to pull the plug on us 1.4million cable users so I'm back to AOL.....
