[BATTERY]: Time for a new one.... kinda.
Anyways, it showed that my battery only has 450 CCA of it's rated 650 CCA available to it still. :( It didn't surprise either of us since I have run the battery to dead so many times because of my bad blower motor control module.
So.... what'cha got for ideas? :) I don't mind filing the battery tray or anything if it is required to make a fit.
What is the best battery out there that will fit a C4. Prefereably something with both top/side post terminals to make jumping easier. :)
Good luck.
I really am not too sure the dual post is a good idea with the frame support brace right above the + terminal. I was going to get a 75-Gold series when I had my 20% discount, but by the time I left, they only made a dual terminal and I was thinking, for the reasons described above, that this would not work out.
I have had a few problems with Sears and their warranty :( I bought one at a store 4 hours away. It tested fine on their tester but bad at 3 other places. I had to fannangle with them to get another one under free replacement (only 1 year and 2 months old). Then, after 2 years, that battery is shot. I go to a different Sears needing it replaced (they verify it is bad this time) and only have my original paperwork and the testing paper work from the day before I got the new battery. The guy said I needed the paperwork from the day later, when the battery was swapped, and I didn't have it. He called the other store and they verified on their computer that the battery was replaced but when the guy got off the phone, he said I needed the paperwork. WTF? He had just been told by the other store (and if their computer system was hooked up to any kind of reasonable database, could have verified it for himself) that it had been replaced. Now, I have that bad battery sitting 4 hours away, another junk battery sitting in my car that I have to take out and trickle charge every night (live in an aptment), and am going to only get 30 bucks out of the Sears DieHard GOLD because it is 2 months over free replacement.
I gotta go buy a new battery today at AutoZone because I know their warranty policy, felt confident selling their batteries (Johnson Control) and know that I won't get screwed again.
Sorry I went off, but when people mess around with me when my money is at stake (college = little cash flow), I get a little urked.
Best 'o luck, -Matt-

I have used Interestate batteries in every car for the last 15 years, and not once have I had a problem with them The longest I had one in a car was 5 years and the engine died, but the battery was still good. Never had to worry about a warranty because they don't need it... what a concept.
