I am looking for a new eprom for my 86 coupe that
i am putting finall touches on this winter. were is the best
place to get one with out breaking the bank ,since mods to date
have almost done that already

Are you looking for the latest OEM GM MemCal??? If so, you need to post the code from the EPROM to get the correct part # to order - they run about $38 IIRC...

...Or are you looking for an aftermarket "performance" chip???

...Or do you want to have someone burn a custom chip for you??? There are several on this Forum who do this service...

 

in other words, if youve modified the car, get a custom chip, and we'd really need to know your mods to recommend a good one for you.

 

You can get a stock one for The last detail for $38, dealership about $45.

Unless you have a radical cam you likely only need to tune up with an AFPR.

sorry about being so vauge i have a 383 stroker
with afr 195 heads 30lb injectors 3:54 gears waiting
on super ram 58mm throttle body ,tranny should be done
next friday.

does anyone burn chips out there reasonably

 

id recommend Fastchip.com and get a custom chip for those mods.
