I have a superram but was told it won't fit, so I will probably go with some large tube runners and sell my superram. Where would I get some vortec heads fully assembled at the best price? And which vortec heads to get? Also will the center bolts bolt for the new heads bolt to my original small block?
If you have the whole SuperRam set up (intake base, runners and plenum) there is not a hole for the 9th injector. You do not need it. You have to plug the rear of the fuel rail on the drivers side where the 9th injector screws into the rail. Accel sells this plug or you can find it thru a couple of parts houses.
The SuperRam is difficult to install, but worth the effort. Combine the SR with a good set of heads and the car will go. It will never put out the power of the newer engines, it is a L98 after all. You can modify the L98 intake, heads, cam, and exhaust and it will be a good running system.
