Well, not right this instant... I am in the process of installing U joints on my left axle shaft and looked up and noticed that there are about 4 metal pipes that run from the front of the car to the back on the driver's side about 1/4". Where they turn to go up, just forward of the rear wheels, one of them has a black plastic piece on it. On mine, there is two plastic pieces connected at each end to a metal tube. Is this supposed to be one piece and mine is broken, or are there supposed to be 2 pieces open to the air???
Hmm, from what I can see, mine has a pair of pipes on both sides of the car and they are all metal, no plastic. The only plastic I can find is the protective tubing that covers the parking brake cable where it passes thru a hole in the frame, and its closer to 1/2" dia. Must be a production change.
The mufflers are the latest release for the early C4's. I'm the VP of sales and marketing for Borla, so have an interest in our Corvette offering as I own one. I'm going to guess that the tube is a part of the ABS and should be joined together...we'll see!! Thanks
Just went out and looked at mine; one of the 4 tubes in back has a 2 1/2" piece of rubber hose connecting the two steel tube pieces (the others don't); there is a black plastic clamp on each end of the rubber hose.
I like the rolled tips on the Ravin mufflers. I'm planning on cutting the outside (polished) covers off my Borla tips and having Ravin rolled-end tips welded on.
The tube with the rubber hose connecting it is the vapor line from your gas tank, it goes from the tank, runs with the brake/ABS lines to the front, and then into the charcoal canister. This line should have a rubber hose connecting it just under the tank, next to the lower front of the storage/ABS compartment and then one more up front. hope this is what you needed.

Re: HELP!! I'm under the car!! (ric'sblack86)
Ric, love your car and the Borla setup. I have installed my Borlas 4 years ago and these puppies have been great ever since. I have the zr1 tips, and they look really sharp. A big pat on the back for the Borla folks. The ONLY complaint I have is since they're so heavy, they kill my muffler hangers every two years. But, for them being bullet-proof, I can live with that! :D
Yeah Right!! Then how could they pay my exorbitant salary?? I'm pushing to get a 2003 Z06 for a project car, that would also serve as my company car!! We need to sell all of you C-4 guys a new system to afford it!! LOL :D
