I have a 1980 Camaro that i installed a 1986 Corvette L-98. We made a custom intake and a custom duel exhaust, and a custom burned chip. How much hp over the 230 stock do you think that I get with this setup...so far. Also, what would be the best areas to work on to get more power? If you would like to see my project, go to my myspace pictures. www.myspace.com/thecarguyofbo
do heads & cam, that's where most of your power is. this will add another 50-60+chp.
neat webpage you got there. by the way, REO speedwagon in the 80's -- in fact most of the all rock music of the 80's -- was flaccid weak, corporate plastic, lacked soul and was made for early teenaged girls. 80's music was more about cookie cutter and packaging than creative content. if you like REO speedwagon in particular, stick with their early-mid 70's efforts. ever since gary richrath left, they've lost whatever ***** they ever had. the late 60's and 70's were the best times for american and british rock. in my book, the 80's overall were by far the worst of any time before or since -- by a massive margin.

I had a 92 camaro with the exact same setup. The tpi wont support a lot of horsepower, but you can make tons of torque. Get some good long tube headers(2 and 1/2" collectors), Some Iron eagle heads, a wide lsa camshaft, a throttle body, 2400 rpm stall converter, 3.55 or 3.73 gears, MSD 6A with a blaster II coil, move your IAT sensor to just behind your air filter, some roller rockers (1.6 intake, 1.5 exh), a 180 thermostat, and a jet fan switch. Itll run awesome. I had all this on a 383. It only had 415 hp but it had 590 lb torque.
