Default Removing roof panel

I'm in the middle of a project involving a solid roof panel for my '86. The smoked plexiglas top that's on it has been there since I purchased the car in '91. Never been off once. Does anyone have any experience involving removal of a 'glass top after having been on for so long? Anyone want to venture a guess on how hard it's going to be to remove? I really want to avoid cracking it, and I'm having visions of it being welded by time to the body. Any experiences or tips?

Just unscrew it. The cracking is generally caused by deterioration of the plastic top (it's not really glass) itself. It may want to try and stick to the A & B pillar weatherstrip.

I had the same problem the first time. Make sure all the screws are out and from one side near the window apply pressure up, it will slowly start to move. Move to the other side, do the same. Just give it the time it needs, it will come.
