Default 88' C4 Door/Window Help

This is for a 88' Coupe door and window question and what are these for. Being new to the C4 (6 weeks now).

The Window Regulator for the passenger side is not working. the motor works ok, the gear does rotate but the Regulator silde is not moving as the Gear moves. Not knowing what it looks like (I have take it out), I am not sure what or if this can be repaired. I think there is something missing. So.. does anyone have a picture of the area that connects to make the regulator silde the window up.. Gear doesn't seem to be connected to it.

I also found these parts in the bottom of the door.

I think the last owner opened it up but either didn't know how to fix and replace the part and could not aford a new regulator.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Pull it all out and you will find a nylon ribbon in there that shoves the window up and down and yours is going to be broken.Any NAPA or similar will have a generic version of this for about $25.00.I don't recognise the bits in you pix but maybe someone else will.

The bottom piece is a backing plate that goes over the two studs on your door handle inside the door. The WIRE (from the lock cylinder security plastic eyelet) runs upward and is slide under the slotted part and then loops back down along the back side of the door. This just keeps it from getting caught in/on anything.

The other piece simply slips my mind at the moment--as soon as I think of it I will post! I am 60 so mind has those moments?

bczee, I didn't forget you but my mind certainly has forgotten the upper part location in door. Sometime in the next week when I least expect it, I will have a flash and remember. Wondering if I will be able to remember to let you know what it is! Sorry. Hopefully someone else knows what it is at this very instant and can put both of us out of our misery right now?

My 88 has the newer style regulator and I have replaced the ribbon style in my 84 with the newer style too. All my doors are together so I cannot get you a picture. When I bought my 88 one window would not work and when I removed the regulator the large gear had broken loose from the swing arm. All I can remember is that I fixed it by tack welding back in its fixed position. I know this doesn't help you. I can also recall viewing a web site which had some pictures/instructiond on regulator repair too. It may have been a repair for my 58 regulators--point is, try a google search on "corvette regulator repair" or something like this.

Thanks.. I think that is what is wrong.. the gear works when the motor is activated and it moves back and forward. but the arm and slides are not connected to the gear.. not having a FSM or anything to work off of. I would not know where to reattach or what should it be attached with. I will google it.
